The market's an amazing thing to watch. Daily moves are merely a manifestation of trading activity versus a reflection of the direction of the economy. And trading is all about trying to make a profit on that particular day and disregarding the bigger picture. It's only when you group the days together into weeks and months does a picture form. It's all about not only connecting the dots, but knowing where the next dot will be placed. Right now, the dots are heading south. My bets are all placed on the larger picture and not on the daily vacillations. But intraday, there is some very obvious weakness with the markets slipping back too easily and showing little desire to make up lost ground.
