There is a presentation/conference call available on the MOSAID website.

It seems that Intel has sued Agere claiming that they, and all of their customers, are already licensed for these patents. MOSAID says they arent a party to the lawsuit and that even if Intel wins that they will still be able to get royalties from quite a few other players in the handset/laptop industry (some of the analysts disagreed).

Hmmm, took a look at the patents and at the very least the 6175550 patent (covering OFDM) has been heavily cited by quite a few industry heavyweights.

They to be able to get at least as much from these patents as they have from their memory patents (>$200 million). JMO, but those who think that spreading the patent base around is a recipe for lower royalties are in a for a rude awakening. As these smaller companies realize they arent going to be able to get back their R&D dollars through products sales, they will turn to patent licensing.
