Interestingly enough, communism is a lot closer to Christianity (or at least to a religious belief) than people think. Primarily communism replaced God with a materialistic view of the world. But beyond that it left all the major pieces in tact, including a final and *inevitable* victory of good over evil (the workers over their oppressors). Communism is as much ripe with prophecy and self righteousness as any religion.
