Anyone! tracking INTC for long:what do you read in this announcement game? Some, I am sure, been around longer to read between the lines what this last "no announcement planned till 14 Oct" statement could signal. Intel has been inconspicuously quiet this qtr. May signal a neutral (will meet) or positive (will beat)estimates?! I personally think , that a company of this caliber will continue warning its investors in the form of "flat earnings" announcements as they did about two-three times this year. I think Intel feels moraly responsible to warn the investor pool, and wants to give them a chance to reevalute their acceptable risk level in time before any unpleaseant earnings surprises. I think they will make the numbers. What do you think, is this a naive assessment?
