Wow. It's really amazing the complicated mess we have to navigate to make a level playing field for alternatives. I never knew that our gov't propped up the price of sugar. Those people must be ignorant, though. If they let the free market reign, sugar ethanol would more than likely keep the price of sugar high in the US. Not only that, but sugar is one of the best sources of ethanol, because of it's high energy yield.
