Wataire Industries Summary Re: March 8 Trading Suspension
Friday March 9, 9:00 am ET

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On March 8, 2007, the Securities and Exchange Commission suspended trading in the securities of 35 companies for a period of 10 trading days. Wataire Industries Inc.(PINK SHEETS:WTAF - News) was one of the 35 companies that has been the target of spam email campaigns. The SEC news release stated that their action was "part of a stepped-up SEC effort-code named "Operation Spamalot"- to protect investors from potentially fraudulent spam email hyping small company stocks with phrases like "Ready to Explode," "Ride the Bull" and "Fast Money." 10 million spam messages are sent every week causing dramatic shifts in share price and volume with investors often losing money as a result. Wataire Industries has been the target of such spam scams even though spam information was inaccurate and unauthorized by the Company.

SEC Chairman Christopher Cox stated that "When spam clogs our mailboxes, it's annoying. When it rips off investors, it's illegal and destructive. Today's trading suspensions and actions that will follow, should send a clear message to spammers; the SEC will hold you accountable." The SEC is also pursuing spammers who provide investors with false and misleading information.

Providing adequate and accurate company information can help thwart spam misinformation. To this end, Wataire Industries has agreed to prepare and file up-to-date financial statements and file a 15C2-11 document which is a formal information statement about the Company and its operations. The Company supports the SEC and its decision to minimize the negative impact of spam and is co operating fully with the need to provide business information upon which investors can rely. Investors will be kept informed on the Company's progress in this important matter.
