But the source of the problem is hardly ever Islam itself Oddly enough, from the beginning the Bush admin. charaterized 9/11 as a 'hijacking of Islam". Since then I've not seen any rhetoric from the White House that was critical of Islam, quite the opposite on some occasions. Nevertheless, right-wing pundits seem determined to put everything in the context of a Holy War. Remember how determined mjdfl was to see the Utah mall shooter as part of a wider terrorist network. It confuses the heck out of me, but maybe its just the distorted influence of the evangelical core of the GOP.
