Yes. And I think it's a bad idea. Basically, they are artificially driving the price of corn and sugar up, which makes alternatives less viable. To make matters worse, they are artificially keeping the price of gas in this country low, through massive tax and legal subsidies for oil companies. So it's a double whammy against alternative fuels.

We need to get rid of tariffs for corn and other agri-products that can go into alternative fuels and tax the shit out of gas and oil companies to drive those prices much much higher. Then watch how quickly we get off the oil. It'll happen in 10-15 years, if we did that.
