Yeah they use 50% I think. I don't think they are subsidized here.


I don't know about FL, but they get a lot of subsidies out west.


But God Forbid we should conserve with more efficient toilets!


Nothing wrong with more efficient toilets assuming they work fine, but there isn't sufficient justification to punish those who make or import toilets that use more water if that's what people want.

Let's raise the price instead and damn the poor people who can't afford to flush.

If you can afford to have a bathroom you can afford the water to flush. How much to you pay per 1.6 gallon flush? Probably less than a penny. I pay about a quarter of a penny.
