I didn't then but I do agree with you now -- the US foreign policy is unquestionably based on the fantasy of Zionism -- and, as such, it is a complete disaster -- just like Zionism, itself.

But in defence of my own argument then, I simply didn't want to believe that a great nation, like the US once was, could see its demise at the hands of religious and, more to the point, pseudo-religious fantasists.
