Thanks Nadine. I just recently got into Dr. Sanity myself. What you posted makes sense particularly with displacing the genuine fear of the threat of terrorism post 9/11 by deflecting it onto the Bush Admin & somehow blaming them. That does remove fear from a real threat, while they continue to rail with genuine animosity & anger where they displaced that fear. Message 23303596 I still think that they also project many of their own most negative traits onto those whom they perceive as their enemies. But then I am no expert in the proper diagnosis of those disorders. I do know what is see are a lot of leftists who do & say a lot of horrible things while strenuously asserting that those very same traits are the hallmark of certain conservatives yet there is no credible evidence to support the accusation. And of course they are incapable of seeing those very same traits in themselves although they regularly exhibit them. Deflection, projection, or what ever the proper term; something is affecting a whole lot of people in a very unhealthy way IMO.
