Within an hour of Pelosi's news conference, House Republican Leader John Boehner (news, bio, voting record) attacked the measure. He said Democrats were proposing legislation that amounted to "establishing and telegraphing to our enemy a timetable" that would result in failure of the U.S. military mission in Iraq.

Let's see........poll after poll reports that Americans want out of Iraq asap. How is setting up an actual timeframe for the moveout telegraphing their position any more than already has been done by the polls? Such BS......they are stalling hoping their surge will work. The Dems are stupid.......you want to get the White House negotiating....you tell them you want American troops out of Iraq by June, 2007, not 2008. Drop that bombshell on the White House and then let them come back with a date.
