As the article pointed out, people who absolutely do not believe are a rare minority. So I am going to avail this opportunity to ask you some questions, and by no means do you have to answer and I apologize ahead of time if this is inappropriate.

Most of us have a need for a transcendent existence. Do you find that life holds meaning beyond a mere temporary existence? If so, how is that possible without some form continual existence? If not, does that bother you?

Second, I suspect and I could certainly be wrong, that if everyone believed that a temporary material existence is all there is to them and to everyone they love, many people would diverge to the extremes of behavior: some would be very depressed and would find no motivation for life, while others would choose a life hedonism and pleasure. Either way, there would be little motivation to push for progress.

Can you shed some light on the above?
