I fail to see how that is irrelevant. Perhaps she is the chief procustrator of mining development at the nexus of the eastern margins. It's the hinge effect.
Randy and I get along great. Met him a the Cambridge. Had a good conflab. I think that whole crowd came out on top making 90% of the share price in Snap, and their reputed getting legions to trash me on the supposed suspicion that I was undermining their enterprise is far overstated. Strange indeed that the whole bunch end up on the board selling their stock at 1000% gain in great weeping fits, Thomas, Muzylowski, Turner, MacDonald. Yes, they must have their knives out that yours truly shaved 2.50 off the stock price by getting the whisper out. Who me? I never said it was salted. etc. etc.. Of course there are all kinds of whispers and they are welcome to their variety of sweet revenge. I am sure they are hard at it. But in all fairness, if you follow the money, they don't seem to be the ones who need carp and criticize. There were some agitated parties. About 25% of my newsletter quit in disgust that I would not climb the glass mountain of denial that I had ever dared to suspect much less aver there was chicanery of foot. They never stopped to think for a second that if I thought I had to deny it, it meant that I might have meant it in the first place or that they themselves must suspect in their heart of hearts the possibility ... Or that I made some kind of mistake. There was no mistake but in the reading of it. Just ask Milton Berle if he would explain the last joke he cracked, and see if what you get. If you did not think it was a joke, what were you doing drinking spritzers in the audience with that ticket in your hand? And if it wasn't funny, it could be my fault, or it could be theirs (there is more than one way to say it is their fault..).. you take your pick...
Of course sudden denial is meaningless. It does not mean that I had not meant it in the first place... hooey.. what is much more meaningful is to state that there was nothing to deny and nothing to know. I said that but people wanted some bare breast, of -- I did not know that, could not have known that, did not mean that, it was only a joke etc.. But again, it does no good, and is very tiresome... They made it the cause celebre not me. It is a denial of what they suspect not what I said, a confirmation of what I should not and cannot confirm, a salvation that I cannot give them from their fears..
The only thing they had to ask was if I had any positive knowledge of the event of salting. Or whether in fact I suspected any party. Of course I cannot answer that if I did. So I have to either lie, be unverifiable or not answer. The best answer is whether of nor they have positive knowledge or certainty that given the odd results (grades doubled a that of 100 holes on the bulk sample)... that it was not salted ..? And remember it was a whole SI/newsletter crowd of people picking up on what is clearly an off the wall, clearly not verified, easily deniable, and outrageously exaggerated post. The real question is, what were they so alarmed about? It was if the Saturday morning cartoons were mistaken for the national news! Why the sudden interest..? It made me more suspicious than I had ever been.. was somebody trying to tell ME something? I will never know..
Equally difficult to answer is my question to them .. what do they know? but most have no idea what the issues, signs, or touchstones of certainty in this business are. There were however monumental grade issues and sampling problems and not beyond arm's length sampling facilities. (They owned the bulk sample facility) Quite apart from the issue of whether anybody did do it, there was extraordinarily wide area to smear the data with no recourse. That is what 43-101 is all about. To keep the channels of veracity accountability and open. Of course it will not defeat a determined and irresponsible party.
