Nickel's price has been saying they couldn't increase supply last week, and likely won't be able to increase supply next week, but what about the weeks and months and years after ... at some point price will generate supply, and that supply will in due course overshoot ... in your last post to EC you do make a good point - if it takes laterite ore to make up the shortfall, the price of energy should set a floor under the PoNi ... that floor could end up being twelve bucks a pound though, or eight ... or thirty-two, sure, but don't hold your breath waiting on that

The charts of PoNi and its stocks are saying that the near future is rosey, so i'm not at all negative on it, not going to bail out of the metal ... still, i don't feel i know enough about medium term supply to just buy big and hold ... whereas with zinc, which is well off its highs and at a pretty clear buy-opp point imho, the stocks are good/cheap enough to buy fair-size without holding one's finger quite so close over the sell button

Nickel for the short run, zinc for the less-short-yet-not-long - how about that -g-
