I'd treat a 1998 rerun as a worst case scenario at this point. SPX did fall 20% that time. That would negate the bullish E-Wave count. The sharp 27 Feb sell-off coming after only a day or two decline from the highs doesn't sound like the beginning of a protracted bear market. But maybe this time is different too.
