what did the US have to worry about with a foreign owned company having purchased equity ?

Maybe nothing in reality, but having an Arab company in charge of port security is a touchy subject since 9/11. May be ignorant and xenophobic, but it's understandable. What undesirables could come in with Haliburton, fundamentalist Baptists?
