Gottfried, You are right, there can't be a deal in the works when buying or selling by insiders are being reported to the Sec. Let me add also, that Insiders time their sales in such a way that they do not catch the scrutinizing eyes of the Sec: they sell while the company---profitwise and stock pricewise---is in an Uptrend. For the astute investor of a profitable company like AMAT---that's an indicator of a screaming buy!...A few months ago, Andy Grove of INTC, sold at the split price of 50 to 60; now the stock is over 90!...
