TJ, we are entering the realm of philosophy <g> y are speaking form a world to which I was not exposed and can not form any form of opinion with regard of their attitude to minorities.

All I know about your side of the world is from communist and other history books which are notorious for their objective flaws.

With respect to the USA your assertion are true as it is reflected in various posts on SI and recent personal experience. NYC from where I draw my view is not a best example from the mere fact that the Tri State area is not a resemblance of the US population with their several million strong Jewish minority .

One of my other observations is, that the sentiment toward Jews and Israel is much more positive in Central Asia (which is Muslim by heritage) than it is in EU for example. Have no idea how it is in your area.

I do agree that we are going now trough quite substantive changes which resulted in the various local conflicts form China to the Atlantic and even South America.

It is my strong opinion that the colonial powers of the 19th Century – Rusia, France UK Ottoman Empire and lesser influence German Reich messed up very badly the way they instituted artificial countries from the Philippines to Mauritania / West Sahara.

There are scores of nations with age old heritage form 5 to 20 million strong who were divided and gobbled up by other “preferred nation” and therefore the local conflicts of which even China has it’s own troubles with Tibet and other Muslim minorities.

Every one who thinks that the Israeli / Arab conflict is the root of the trouble in the ME, because 2 million people want their own statehood is badly mistaken. Azeri in Iran close to 18 million strong want their own country so are the 15 million strong Kurds in Turkey, 10 million Kurds in Iran, so is the situation in Armenia, Assyria, / Syria, Iraq which should be a confederation at best, Chechnya, Dagestan, Georgia, Kashmir, Pakistan Afghanistan Baluchistan, Saudi Arabia, Algiers, West Sahara and the list goes on.

The US somehow thinks that they can repair the damage and democracy and prosperity cures all approach - but fail to understand, what I am facing now for example.

I developed great relations and we converse in English with people in Central Asia regarding business transaction but what I think they should understand is so far as the Moon from the Sea – everything must be explained in details and in an environment they fell comfortable and for sure not in letters, but eye to eye with the right counterpart and not an employee no matter what the rank...... and did I mention that in each place or country you must be very carefull who you praise? .... sometimes it can be outright deadly <GG>

Will end with that as this board is not for my philosophical assertion regarding a new world order <GGG>
