Try seven card one of these days. Deal seven to each player, take one off the top and add two from each hand for the crib. Five in the hand and five in the crib. Game goes really fast and the counts are crazy, but it is much more fun and makes regulation crib boring.

You have to have the ability to count high, and I've also found that most people are too lazy to play seven card crib.
