Okay, let me summarize yet again. So, we've had two PRs that sounded good but lacked data. But they also only made $3,000,000 last year. While some are throwing around much larger estimates, let me point out that if the activities involved in those two PRs only generate a total of $3,000,000 and if the rest of the year and existing activities generate the other $3,000,000, then Lumera will have doubled revenues yet again. They will still have to double once more to get to cash flow neutral, but this doesn't sound as far out.
The sad part is that the company is providing great news with no substantiation. While I don't expect exact dollar figures, they could at least bracket the possibilities. What is the minimum reasonable contract size? Did they, or an unnamed customer, exceed that? Are similar discussions in progress? I recognize the need for discretion, but Lumera also has to recognize its need for credibility. Too many data-less PRs can make a company sound like a hype machine instead of a business.
Rats. That summary got out of hand. Sorry for the digression. Hope you don't mind. |
