I see there has been some high quality exchange on your topic since I posted to you.

Currently when parents get arrested the children routinely go into the foster system. The quality of care, given the children, isn't an issue when the parents are headed to jail.

Foster care, for far to many children, is a hell on earth. Many times it is much worse than what they were taken out of.

Please hear what these folks have to say about the children:

These are former law enforcement people. In places, they talk about the children that are victims of the current system.
