I don't know anyone on this thread or in my private life that thinks AQ should be mollycoddled. They need to be hunted down and either killed or prosecuted.

But we need a realistic assessment of their numbers and their capabilities in order to prevail. AQ will never control Saudi oil. And it will never overrun this country unless we stay stupid in the ways we deal with the ME.

The only reason to give a hoot what AQ thinks is because if we can defuse some of their legitimate grievances, like Israel, that removes a reason for someone to join.
