He also endorsed divestment from Iran, an effort he noted Jewish communities and others are spearheading in 10 US states. Opposition leader Binyamin Netanyahu, who spoke at a closed session later in the day, also called for divestment. He noted that many Americans unwittingly aid the Iranian economy by investing in companies that do business with Iran. "For the regime in Teheran, the blow of divestment could prove fatal." Carranza, this is from an article in today's Jerusalem Post and is typical of what I was trying to say. Please note what Jewish communities in ten US states are trying to do. This is an example of what angers me about Israel....this meddling, this sense of entitlement. Iran poses a problem to ISRAEL not the US!! As a non-Jewish American I resent it when Israel tries to insinuate itself into our business policies and force decision making that may not be in our economic self-interest.
