This is the pick distribution for the brackets contest at Yahoo!.

Some interesting trends:

1) Seeds #1 and #2 constitute the top 8 spots. I find it "odd" that a #3 seed or less is unable to break into the top 8 slots. I think that this oddity can be attributed directly to the "power" of the higher seed ranking, likely meaning that many entrants are basing their selections upon the seed number rather than some other criteria...

2) Georgia Tech is getting an awful lot of respect for a #10 seed. I noticed that this was also true in the CBS Sportsline analysis. Apparently, if the contestants are to be believed, Georgia Tech has been vastly under-seeded by the committee.

3) The Pac-10 has 6 teams in the tournament. Five of those six teams are ranked in the top 24 (UCLA, Oregon, Washington State, USC and Arizona). The sixth team (Stanford) comes in at 46. This means that the entrants see the Pac-10 as a stronger conference than many other conferences. Hmmm...
