The bear emerging from manipulation will be very, very vicious... 1987 will be like a walk in the park in comparison, so will 1929. The credit bubble has been a lot bigger in derivatives. The problems in that land are HUGE now. It sure looks like ALL of that market is blowing up. Sure, one can bet on recovery here, and it would be 95% good bet, but I would bet only with calls. If the manipulation is overpowered now, the game is OVER. We are in for a lot of pain, and a big crash, because there is no other support under this market.
