A good amount of blame for 'non-isuue issues' has to go to the Bush administration which never seems to have any pundit supporters banging the doors down at the networks, CNN or MSNBC. Clinton had Raum Emanuel, Barney Frank's sister, that Lanny guy and a dozen other administration officials on TV every night shaping the conversation. Clinton spent eight years teaching republicans about damage control and what did they learn? Seemingly nothing.
