There wasn't a roundtable broadcast for eight years that didn't have a loyal Clintonite on it. Yet today, turn on MSNBC and see who Olbermann is interviewing night after night unchallenged. Also, I tuned into the Today Show this morning for the first time in months and of course they led with the Attorney story. The air of outrage about firing political appointees was truly puzzling. Then AG Gonzalez comes on and Matt Lauer is just browbeating him to death. He appeared weak and defensive, which only fed into the criticism. Russert was next up with his usual dire punditry. Oh well, this will be news for another four days, two column cycles, then it's on to next thing...
