Coghill Cap Boosts Energy Conversion Devices Stake To 9.7%

Coghill Capital Management LLC on Wednesday reported increasing its stake in Energy Conversion Devices Inc. (ENER) to 9.7% from 8.6%.

The Chicago fund manager beneficially holds about 3.87 million shares of Energy Conversion Devices, a Rochester Hills, Mich., alternative energy company, according to an amended Schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

On Feb. 22, Coghill Capital reported holding about 3.4 million Energy Conversion common shares.

The investor previously said it believed Energy Conversion's board should consider making management and other changes to the company. It also said it intended to contact members of the board to express its view that the board "consider making changes to current management and enterprise structure."

The company's shares were recently trading at $31.51 each, up 25 cents from Tuesday's close.
