IMO The Americans will be doing some subtle support behind the scenes for the opposition. The price of getting the opposition back in power will of course be a long term lease on the US base, payment on bonds when due, and open trade with north america. This is the American's opportunity to drive a wedge in south america before dictators take hold permanently. They tried it with Chavez, perhaps now they will have perfected the play. safeharbour
