Kazakhstan reduces gold output 5% in 2 mths

Astana. March 12 – Kazakhstan produced 1,265 kilograms of refined gold in January-February, 5.1% less than in the first two months of last year.

Refined silver production fell 10% to 111.874 tonnes, the State Statistics Agency told Interfax.

Kazakhstan reduced alumina production 1.9% year-on-year to 247,119 tonnes, the agency said.

Unprocessed zinc production rose 1.3% to 62,015 tonnes and refined copper production grew 19.5% to 65,934 tonnes, but unprocessed lead output fell 6.9% to 19,295 tonnes.
