Bush is not fighting a war on terror at all really. He is helping terrorists. The news today about Sudan being behind the USS Cole bombing reminds us that in Feb 2001 the US government first found out AL Qaida was behind it (with Sudanese help) and Bush-cheney did absolutely nothing to avenge this. Nothing. Ignored it completely. They also ignored the many pre 9-11 warnings and let Bin laden and his people go 4 years ago. It is preposterous for Bushies to call anyone else "weak on defense" when they have helped terrorists and made terrorist much more likely globally by basically going to war for the oil companies (private profits for their cronies at our expense) and against democracy in the USA (repeated attacks on the Consttitution which is why Senator Sununu wants Gonzales removed).
