The real deal about Vista...

The fact that older peripherals don't work with Vista(existing peripherals already in consumers homes), has held back the demand for this product...

I installed Vista on Jan 30th and lost the full functionality of my printer and my all-in-one (Hp7660 & Hp7210)...

Then I found out my flat screen was also having problems (dell 2005fpw) so I decided to pull the hard drive (I'm keeping it on the side for now (a slave) and installed XP media on a new 160gb...

I also bought a new Dell E521 and am waiting for an upgrade disk, but now I'm thinking of holding off on the upgrade for now...

Last week I bought a new Dell 1405 laptop running Vista (fully loaded, Intel 7200, 2gig ram, UltraSharp™ TFT Display with TrueLife) this is an awesome machine, but it has one problem. I like to "tether" my Bluetooth PDA connection when I;m on the road and it doesn't support my PAN network. It says it supports it, but it doesn't. It works fine on XP!!!

All together in my house we have 6pc's, and right now only the new Dell 1405 will run Vista.

If I didn't have all these problems, I might be a buyer of 5 more upgrades, but not now.

So there you have it, if everyone is experiencing the same problems, how many "sales" has Microsoft lost because of incompatibility issues...
