Obviously you gentlemen and the other, informed folks, on this thread HAVE read the filings and DIS reports. Obviously so has the street.
The price of the stock has been flat now since the merger announcement. The date of record was 9/29/97. It seems all we are waiting for now is the stock holders meeting 10/30/97 and then the open of newco.

The irritation factor is not even a factor, proved out by the flat price. If the shares are adjusted up, due to TPG's shortfall so much the better.

IMO, there will be some real volatility in the newco stock just after the open, therein will be a trading opportunity as well as the longer term due to the upcoming earnings of the combined companies.
