Its nice that the banks, who were major Subprime Mortgage packagers, are concerned enough about their Subprime clients to ask the Senate for help.

I think the Senate should suggest these same banks offer their borrowers a sharp reduction in the interest they charge to help the borrowers catch up.

I'm surprised the banks didn't think of this themselves when they asked the Senate to consider helping.

But they've asked the Senate for help, so maybe the Senate can propose a law which which make the interest rate rebate mandatory.

I'll bet the banks never though of that either.
