Oh. What terrified me about him then is that I didn't really like Clinton's policies. I felt like his Medicare efforts were failures and he never did anything to solve social security. In addition, I was pretty much turned off by his philandering. I then projected all of my Clinton views onto Gore. I figured he'd be a repeat of Clinton.

Having said all that, one thing I liked about Clinton is that everyone around the world liked the guy. He actually increased America's reputation and standing around the world as a benevolent giant. Under Bush, we have been diminished. The illusion of the US's invulnerability has been shattered and now we're seen as a malevolent superpower. Amazing what damage can be done in 6 years that destroys everything built over 60 years since WWII.
