"One thing Clinton was good at was working hard. He was known as a workaholic."

But that wasn't clear in the primary. He ran solely on his charisma.

"Contrast that with Bush, who has taken more vacations than any preceding President, in a time that is arguably one of the most challenging we've had in 50 years. Makes you go, "Hmmm.""

And to make it worse, he ignores the details of policy in favor of a grand vision. Now having a vision of where to take the country is important. Else you get consumed with putting out fires all the time. But a grasp of the details is important too. Otherwise you don't realize the implications of the vision and whether or not the vision is realistic.

Bush proclaimed himself "America's CEO" when he was elected the first time. Given his conception of what a CEO does, it shouldn't be any great surprise that he flew all of his companies into the ground.
