Threats to our national security have been overstated from the beginning by this admin., I believe. I don't think leaving changes that any.

However, there are early indications that the overall violence is beginning to subside. Assurances of fair oil income distribution may be even more important than additional troops. If more people can be put back to work, that would help.

I can go along with the dem plan of giving it another year to see if benchmarks can be met. I suspect Congress would be flexible on a so-called withdrawal date if things are clearly improving.
