You can say that if you like but it is a definitively false statement. I think of them (the people who fit the definition I have given) as extremists because they fit that definition, and for no other reason.

It is a corruption to say you are fighting for peace when you don't give a hoot whether or not there is peace in Iraq, and would in fact be quite comfortable with utter chaotic genocidal conflict, as long as it advances the cause of socialism in the United States or other parts of the world. That is a hidden agenda and it is leads to radical extremism. Having clarified that has nothing to do with whether or not I think socialism is good or bad or whether I think people who advocate for it are heroic or not. I can see some socialists as courageous while viewing others as corrupt extremists, and I do.
