You're a liar. Kerry never said anything untrue about the Vietnam War. He told the brutal honest truth, which is something the rightwing hawks desperately wanted to cover up (and still do) to whitewash their consciences. The fallacy that the US is always right even if we kill 2 million people in a totally unnecessary war is astoundingly dishonest and self-destructive. The myth that the US is always right has been proven wrong many times. And is being proven wrong again in Iraq now.

In fact one of the leading smearvets, Admniral Hoffman, who once called Kerry a great hero, was known as the guy who orderded hootches burned down in 'Nam. That is small farming villages destroyed just because it was suspected they might aid the VC. You call that not an atrocity right there? and what about My Lai?

We can only be a great country if we are honest and righteous in our acts. We'll never be perfect but we have to try to be fair and good whenever we can. If we abuse our great power we become gross villains. And Bush-Cheney and their gang are just as guilty as LBJ and Nixon in those terms.

Interestingly, all four were involved with Halliburton (Brown + Root).
