vit.v and wkm.v - two mini-woodies on friday, looks like something coming with them ... Victoria hasn't had news since 9 february, next assays are eagerly anticipated, could confirm major developments

Yes, interpretation here can be difficult, however over time and a number of posts one feels oneself, rightly or wrongly, to begin to grasp the basic messages and attitudes being put out

There are many kinds of speculators on a board like this, full spectrum, one of the ways to define the differences is to look at the time period considered by each individual, which can range from a day or less to a decade or more ... some want/hope for/expect their realised profit more quickly than others, so they trade in and out more ... as is their right, it is after all their money, and it is unproductive to call any of these approaches wrong, as any of them can turn out in the end more profitable than another, depending on a multitude of factors

Often, maybe in most cases, the lengths of term considered will span much of the spectrum within the individual punter, they'll have longer-term positions and ones intended as shorter ... and they can be changed from one to another as developments warrant, while there can be an ongoing discussion on the matter in the holder's mind, for those who leave it open a crack anyway ... so maybe most of us can see that to set up a dogma saying one style only is correct may prove less than helpful

Useful or not as a dogma may be, some of us react to its preaching with enthusiasm, others not so much, there will always be those who question the need for a dogma in the first place, preferring to remain agnostic pending further evidence, and when the preachiness gets insulting there will always eventually be some who will respond to the preacher's tone and volume and foot in the door by any means necessary ... just another of the basic differences between members, an important one - you've got to understand the audience if you want to work a room

Softly softly catchee monkey.

'I don't know why more people don't get this.'
