And yet, Bill, America has the highest rate of incarceration of it's citizens of ANY nation in the world.
Higher then South Africa.
Higher then China.
Higher then Cuba.
Higher then Iran, Russia, North Korea, etc., etc.
The question I pose to you is this one:Are Americans inherently *more evil* then any other people on the face of the planet... or has our government made too many bad laws that, in some cases, criminalize things that shouldn't be criminal, trying to control personal behaviors?
MY ANSWER is NO.
Americans are decent, good people (far better then some others I could name :-), it is our GOVERNMENT that is wrong. |
