Do people have to take warrant or nickel talk to other threads? It's like art. Hard to define, but easy to see. They do if nobody else will play, I will grant that!
I am off topic as much as Koan, and have almost 3 times the number of ignores. I would say in my own way I stir more controversy, and anger more people. It's an art to stay alive in these woods. It should be every man's right to say what he wants, but the spam factor is omnipresent, and you have to please the people.
What I would like to talk most about is forming a company to mine these metals that we know and love. No absolute agreement here on who to run that. It is like a democracy, everybody wants to be the boss, but we all are anyway. An investor votes with his wallet. We could start an SI mine. Getting agreement on where to mine, what to mine, and who and how would be some affair I can see that. Even if I had nothing at all to do with it, I would like to see this sort of thing tried. After all the money is probably there in 396 subject mark people. At 25K per person, something I know you guys can afford, that is almost 10 million. A good start for our SI mine. I know you guys cannot all agree, so that would be much less. Nevertheless if one were to guess and a really good mine came up, and vehicle to raise money (that costs about 500K..) then it might be a good idea. Even if it were hypothetical it would be a hoot.
If it were totally democratic, I could suggest ways it could be done. Like I say, even if I did not make a nickel on it. There are some excellent properties out there that are going wanting. High grade gold, millions of tons of decent zinc at good grade, copper nickel in the millions of tons.. no mining company pushing these at all. Porphyry bets in Mexico and Alaska. Placer mines at 12 dollars per yard, proven with thousands of holes.. silver mines/adits not being explored.. the list goes on. 10,000 claims with resources of gold, copper, silver, uranium, zinc, and no one exploring them at all. I know, as I have could pick up about 20. And they have considerable resources. Like 100,000 ounces plus to start. Infrastructure in place. And we are not talking a "bunch of crap", like Jack Stoch has yarded out in Quebec. No long shots. How about 10,000,000 tons of 100 dollar plus sinc ore? How about 25 million tons of good grade nickel copper? How about 70 million tons of 12 dollar placer ore, proven with 1500 holes? How about tailings with 20 dollar gold proven with 2400 holes and a metallurgical study?. How about 1 million tons of 20 lbs tungsten in tails? A 3 mile long high grade zinc lead silver gold vein 12 feet wide. And the list goes on for pages. But you need a million dollars in a listed company to even talk to the people on most of these properties. Don't even ask for a 43-101 most of the time. Too expensive to qualify the properties. Almost 300K just to generate the reports. And in 1990 there were 70 drilled off deposits of gold that were not being mined in Ontario alone. Another 50 in Quebec. Maybe 40 in Manitoba. I have worked at some of them. One of them has 10 million ounces of 0.25 OPT gold in it. Shaft. Another has 30 million tons of 0.13 OPT gold drilled off. Shaft and headframe.
I wonder what people are sitting on their hands for with these metal prices. Frobisher Exploration started out with a lot less in the 50's and a lot weaker metal prices. All they had was Thayer Lindsley and a canoe. And a bit of money. 25 million in 1955 dollars. That is a bit of money today. They went out and found 40 mines worldwide. All it took was cash. The truth is out there. (we have one of one of this company's (Quebec Metallurgical) former properties.)
If we could only harness friction and inertia. We would be gazillionaires.
