There's an assumption in that article: They won't follow us home. This is NOT Vietnam. There was never any danger the N. Vietnamese would attack the US after our withdrawal.

Izzat so? You don't remember all the warnings, about falling dominoes? Those warnings were LBJ's and Westmorland's mantra for keeping the Vietnam war going. No much truth to them were there?

And now that that ugly war is over, we trade with those despicable commies.

The same is true of the Iraq war. If we stop and pull out now, nothing will happen here - Al Queda will not attack. Why, you ask? The muslims will be too busy building up a new Iraq to bother us - and there will be no reason to attack us if we leave them alone.

If we pull out, we will be trading peacefully with them within 10 years.
