Lehman is probably talking about the transition of fab 30 into fab 38. He can't be talking about fab 36 as it is at 65nm since end Q4 '06. There's a whole range of A64's and Opterons at 65nm, while Barcelona is at 65nm as well. Performance is not exactly top notch yet, but it really should be improving in a normal way. Presuming Lehman did indeed mean fab 30/38 and not fab 36 then this begs the questions of how early AMD is trying to get to 45nm, and/or if they expect at least stagnating or possibly shrinking unit demand during most of '07. Without further details it's about impossible to know if this is positive or negative for AMD. Regards, Rink
