I hope you understand that other Brazilians consider elmatador to be bizarre in the extreme.
My Brazilian friends hope that people reading elmatador's freakish posts will not mistakenly confuse his behaviour with that of Brazilians in general. Every society has its nutters.

I am pretty good at not conflating anyone's behavior for an entire group, let alone a nation as diverse as Brazil. FWIW my father lived in Rio in 1965, learned Brazilian Portuguese (he was already fluent in Spanish) and wrote a book on the Brazilian economy in 1966. Emat and I probably should have relegated our discussion to inbox as it was not about investing. Also I find his posts interesting even if I don't always agree (sometimes strongly) with them.
