How I am supposed to deal with someone who disagrees with facts and solid logic, and openly admits this?

I am not asking you to deal with me. I asking you to deal with the fact that we disagree.

Ignore his groundless misconceptions, or continue to dispel his illusions for the sake of education of others?

There is substantive fact to support the hypothesis that global warming is caused by increased CO2 in the atmosphere and that increased CO2 comes from man's use of fossil fuel. But even if its wrong, I see no reason why we shouldn't cut back on the burning of fossil fuel where its reasonable and increase research on alternative fuels. Why do you disagree with that?
