I assume you are using the newer parabolics now? If not, do try them. And don't expect to ski with your skies touching side to side. The parabolics are meant to be 3-4" apart. And try the shorties.........depending on your size if you are 5'10" I'd go with no longer than a 180. They are a blast, make it much easier to ski and really, really handle the bumps and turns great.....with ease.

You are out of shape for skiing. For skiing I said. I train all fall and still get really sore and achy for the first few times out. You can find exercises to do on line that will help prepare you. I love Colo skiing. The snow it the best by far.
