Gingrich didn't resign he was forced out due to corruption scandals. He resigned like Rumsfield resigned. And they didn't even know he was cheating on his wife while she was on her deathbed with cancer, and even insulting her by telling her she wasn't pretty enough to be his wife. As if he's some catch. Gingrich looks like a fat Leprechaun.
