The only reason Bush Jr. wants to "double down" in Iraq is to try and force the Democrats to take over the war by taking over the funding. That way the failure could be blamed on them. It's a classic Rove trick.

I think it's important that the public realize that it is the neocons who lost the war on the the day they started it. Only with that realization can the country be protected from neocon zealots for a generation.
